Get Recommendations for a Web Page

Enter the address of a web page to see what recommendations OER Recommender would provide for it.

Address:

If a resource is not in OER Recommender's index, it generates recommendations by downloading the resource and analyzing its content. If you register an RSS feed or OAI endpoint for your resources, OER Recommender will base its recommendations on the metadata you provide instead of the content of the resource.

By installing this Firefox extension you can easily check out the Folksemantic recommender in action on your website.

Installation Steps:

  1. Run Firefox.
  2. Install the Greasemonkey Firefox extension.
  3. Go to a page on your website.
  4. Look for the "Related Resources" box on the right side of your web page.
  5. Follow one of the links to a related page.

Register Your Open Education Resources

When you register your open education resources, folksemantic will include them in recommendations and search results. This can help people find your resources.

Register Your Resources:

  1. Anmelden or Anmelden.
  2. Register your resources by specifying an RSS feed, OAI endpoint, sitemap, or url mask.
  3. Once your resources have been approved, they will be added to the folksemantic index and you will be notified via email.
